Breaking: Hoodlums Storm Ogun State Assembly, Steal Mace

The Ogun State Police Command on Thursday confirmed that suspected hoodlums invaded the premises of the Ogun State House of Assembly.

The suspected hoodlums burgled the office of the Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly, Olakunle Oluomo overnight and escaped with the mace.

The mace is the official symbol and sign of the authority of the legislature, Naija News understands.

Security operatives on Thursday prevented Punch correspondent from accessing the Assembly premises located very close to the Governor’s Office complex in the precinct of the State Secretariat, Oke – Mosan, Abeokuta, the state capital.

The incident was however confirmed by the spokesman for the Ogun State Police Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi.
