Insecurity: Bandits Kill Village Head, Three Others In Kaduna
Armed bandits have killed a village head and three other villagers in three different communities in Kaduna State.
The Kaduna state commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, confirmed the sad incident in a statement on Thursday.
Aruwan revealed that the incident happened in Chikun, Igabi, and Giwa local government areas of the state.
He said the bandits attacked Chikun local government and killed the ward head of Baranje community, Dogara Yahaya, and another local, Reuben Adamu.
He also discloses that the bandits killed one Ibrahim Salisu at Ungwan Sada in Giwa local government after they attempted to kidnap him.
Aruwan added that Abdullahi Saleh, a herder, was killed by bandits along the Kangimi axis, on the Kaduna-Jos Road in Igabi local government.
Meanwhile, Governor Nasir El-Rufai has expressed sadness over the killings and has sent condolences to the families of the slain citizens.
He also prayed for the repose of their souls, while tasking security agencies in the state to ensure diligent investigations into the incidents.
