Dangote Remains Africa Richest, Adenuga Makes Forbes Richest Persons List [Full List]

Founder and Chairman Dangote Cement, Aliko Dangote, has retained his position as the richest person in Africa with a net worth of $12.5b on the Forbes magazine rich list.

Aliko, who has kept the position he has occupied for nine years now, owns 85% of publicly-traded Dangote Cement which produces 45.6 million metric tons annually and has operations in 10 countries across Africa.

Dangote Cement remains Africa’s largest cement production company.

The Billionaire businessman who owns stakes in publicly-traded salt and sugar manufacturing companies has began the construction of his refinery, known as Dangote Refinery, in 2016 and is expected to be one of the world’s largest oil refineries once complete.
