“Strong Message”: Bovi Causes Mixed Reactions With His Dressing To Headies Awards

The 14th edition of the Headies Award took place on Sunday 21st February 2021 and was hosted by ace comedian Bovi and media personality and actress, Nancy Isime.

The event which held at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos had no in-person attendance due to COVID-19, Naija News reports.

However, away from the award ceremony itself, Bovi caused quite a stir with his choice of cloth for the event as he was styled in a blood-stained Nigerian flag attire, recalling the popular #EndSARS protest and the many lives that were lost in the process when youths demanded a total reform of the Nigeria Police Force.

Bovi’s dressing attracted mixed reactions on social media, particularly on Twitter with many praising his creativity and boldness as well as the message passed without saying any word.
