Family Mourn As Female Student Commits Sucide

A 20 year-old girl, Nivea Chezwa Nabuzoka, has thrown her family into mourning after she committed suicide on Thursday night, January 27.

A family relative and Member of Parliament for Mandevu constituency in Zambia, Christopher Shakafuswa, via his social media announced the sad news.

According to the lawmaker, his young niece with a bright future took her life.

He wrote; “Lost my niece last night. Sad to comprehend how a young girl @20 years with a bright future would take her own life.” 

A friend of the deceased, Flora Chipampe Shakafuswa penned an emotional tribute, she wrote; ‘‘My baby you have broken me! Nivea honestly baby girl why not talk to me. I am so gutted! My sweet angel how do you do this. Aunty Chipampe im coming to do my hair, makeup and nails My baby come. Aunty Chipampe i want an outfit, get my baby, pick an outfit from my wardrobe . Where did i go rong? My niece took her life and gave me no signs. this is so heavy. Saturday and Sunday Nivea you gave me no signs. Iye imwe.”
