English Premier League club, Arsenal have terminated Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s contract with the club.
This is as the Gunners on Tuesday signed documents confirming the end of terms with the Gabonese international player, Naija News reports.
This news platform had reported earlier that Aubameyang on transfer deadline day arrived in Barcelona to seal a deal with the Spanish club.
Not long after the 32-year-old player was sighted in Barcelona, Italian transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano in a post on his verified Twitter account on Tuesday morning confirmed that Aubameyang has been cleared to join Barcelona as a free agent.
Romano wrote: “Arsenal have counter-signed paperworks for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s contract termination today morning. Barcelona announcement finally in place.”

Aubameyang who was paid £350,000 a week, had scored 92 goals in 163 games for the Gunners in his time at the Emirates Stadium.
The exit of Aubameyang from the club means Arsenal will finish the season with just two strikers, Eddie Nketiah and Alex Lacazette.
Meanwhile, Nike has suspended their relationship with Mason Greenwood following the Manchester United forward’s arrest over allegations of rape and domestic abuse.
Naija News recalls that the Manchester United forward’ was arrested on Sunday following allegations on social media and spent the night in custody after being questioned.
