Fresh ‘Evidence’ To Aid Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial Surfaces

One of the brothers to Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Prince Kanu Meme, has claimed there is “fresh evidence” in the trial of his sibling.

According to Meme in a post on Facebook, Kanu “is still technically in Kenya from the new evidence.”

He, however, did not give much details on “the new evidence,” which is linked to Kanu’s re-arrest and repatriation from Kenya.

Naija News reports the IPOB leader was reportedly abducted in Kenya in June and extradited to Nigeria.

Upon his return, Kanu who was detained for eight days in Kenya before his repatriation to Nigeria, was slammed with charges bordering on terrorism.

He continues his trial before Justice Binta Nyako-led Federal High Court, and was slammed a 15-count terrorism charge by the Federal Government.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges and asked the Federal High Court, Abuja, to discharge and acquit him without standing trial because the charges were not worth being defended.
