Twitter users have exposed some attendants who are allegedly imposing extra charges before selling fuel to customers at their stations.

According to Olusola Aromokun,  via the microblogging platform, Twitter, shared a photo of an attendant of a fuel station in the Surulere area of Lagos who refused to attend to him because he refused to pay the N1000, he had imposed on customers.

Aromokun said, “This is the attendant collecting N1000 per car at Petrol Station, in Surulere. I have sha refused to pay him and he is sulking, refusing to attend to me.”

Another tweep shared his experience, revealing that a fuel attendant charges N500 for ₦5,000 worth of fuel and N1000 for full tank.

Tweeting via #sarkiilu, he said, “For this one, she collects 500 for 5000 and 1000 for full tank, I had to set her straight and called someone I know from their head office,
Abuja!”

Nigerians have been battling fuel scarcity and long queues since last week following the sale of adulterated fuel.
