According to The PUNCH, Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, has been declared the winner of the governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress held on Saturday. Announcing the result very early on Sunday, the Chairman of the governorship primary committee and Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, said Oyetola won the election, having garnered 222,169 votes, against 12,921 votes that his closest challenger, Moshood Adeoti got. He also said another of Oyetola’s challenger, Lasun Yusuf, got 460 votes and placed third.
The affairs of political parties are managed by executives elected or chosen by their members. However, in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, the highest decision-making body is the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), Daily Trust reports.

APC had been enmeshed in a web of intra-party schisms precipitated by power play over the control of power levers in the party ahead of 2023 elections.
According to Sunday Independent, Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, has revealed how Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola used dubious means to win primary election. Recall that the minister’s endorsed candidate, Moshood Adeoti, lost the party’s ticket to Oyetola on Saturday
