Peter Obi, Shehu Sani, Others Attend June 12 Event At MKO Abiola Residence
The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani and a host of other Nigerians on Sunday attended a June 12 event at the residence of Chief MKO Abiola in Ikeja, Lagos State.
Naija News reports that Obi, Sani and other Nigerians assembled at the MKO Abiola family house to remember and appreciate the heroes, heroines and martyrs of the struggle for Democracy in Nigeria.
In a series of videos shared by Sani via his Twitter handle, the attendees also laid a wreath in honour of MKO Abiola and other heroes and heroines of Nigerian democracy.
Other dignitaries at the event included a representative of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, prominent Nigerian lawyer, Mike Ozekhome, and former presidential aspirant and economist, Pat Utomi, amongst others.
Also, present at the event includes sons, daughters and family members of MKO Abiola.
