Ekiti State Governor-elect, Biodun Oyebanji honoured President Muhammadu Buhari with a visit on Monday in Abuja.
Naija News understands that Oyebanji and some All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains, including state governors, met with the Nigerian leader at the State House in Abuja today, June 20, 2022.
The visitation is coming about 48 hours after the conclusion of the Ekiti State 2022 governorship election eventually won by Oyebanji.
Three governors including the incumbent Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State, and Governor Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa State were led by the APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu in the visitation, Naija News understands.
Oyebanji followed by the party chieftains, also met with President Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari; Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Niyi Adebayo; and Senior Special Assistant to the President (Domestic), Sarki Abba, at the meeting.
The agenda of their meeting is yet to be made public but this news platform understands it would be unconnected with showing appreciation to President Buhari for his support of Oyebanji’s victory in the state election.
