Full List: Politicians Who Visited Wike After ‘Painfully’ Losing PDP’s VP Slot
A list of Nigerian politicians have paid the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike a visit days after he lost out in the race to secure the Vice Presidential ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party has emerged.
Over the past few days since Atiku decided to pick Okowa as his running mate, there have been speculations that the Rivers governor is plotting an exit from the PDP.
There may be truth to the reports following the Rivers governor’s silence on the affairs of the party that has seen two of his allies, a former minister of Niger Delta, Godsday Orubebe and an ex-commissioner in Edo State, Kassim Afegbua dump the PDP.
However, politicians from various parties have paid Wike a visit, although it is unclear the reason for their individual visits, but it may not be unconnected to rumoured efforts in pacifying the Rivers governor over the perceived ill-treatment that was allegedly meted to him by his party.
Below are the names of both past and present governors that have visited the Rivers state so far.
Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State
Bauchi Governor, Bala Mohammed
Former Anambra state governor, Peter Obi
Former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso
Governor Wike is still yet to release a statement since Okowa emerged as the vice-presidential candidate of the main opposition party. Naija News understands.
