Mrs Ishaku gave the advice while speaking at the mentorship programme organised by the Nigeria Bar Association Women Forum Mentorship Committee (NBAWFMC) in Jalingo.
She noted that learning from those ahead in a professional field of practice was an idea to improve performance and effectiveness in the practice.
“The mentorship programme is designed to empower you the female lawyers to succeed in your dealings.
“Learning from your senior in a professional field like the legal practice would build your ability to excel in the profession” she advised.
While commending the organisers for their steadfastness in moulding the young female lawyers in the legal practice, Barr. Ishaku challenged the young female lawyers to take advantage of the mentorship program by being committed and dedicated in their line of duties to excel.
Earlier, Prof. Oluyemisi Bamgbose (SAN), Chairperson Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum, (NBAWF) disclosed that the event was to provide an enabling platform for young female lawyers to have mentors who would serve as role models to ease their practice.
