APC Candidate Wins Sokoto Supplementary Election

The Spokesman of the Osun All Progressives Congress Gubernatorial campaign council, Sunday Akere has denied the mobilisation of thugs to disrupt Saturday’s election in the state.

This comes after the opposition Peoples Democratic Party alleged that APC has mobilised thugs in various parts of the State in readiness for the election.

A statement on Monday signed by the Osun PDP Chairman, Caretaker Transition Committee, Akindele Adekunle, disclosed that the thugs imported from Lagos State were already lodged in various hotels in the State and another very close to the Governor’s office in Abere.

Responding to the allegations, Sunday Akere said the party is not known for violence but renowned for organising proper elections and wooing residents to vote for Oyetola.

He added that the APC gubernatorial candidate does not engage in frivolities like thuggery.

He said: “APC is not known for violence. Rather, it is renowned for organising proper election and wooing residents to come out enmasse to vote for its candidate, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and does not engage in frivolities like engaging in thuggery”.
