2023: Peter Obi Discloses Only Way Nigeria Can Move Forward

The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, on Wednesday, revealed the only way the country can move forward economically.

Speaking during a mega rally to canvass votes for the LP governorship candidate in Osun State, Lasun Yusuf, Obi said the only way to change the country is to eject old politicians from office.

The former Governor of Anambra State claimed that the old politicians have kept the country where it is for the past 23 years of under development.

“We want to change Nigeria and the only way we can change this nation is to remove all these people who have put Nigeria where it is for the past 23 years. This is the time for them to go,” he said.

The LP presidential candidate said that it is only a vote for Yusuf that could rescue the people of Osun state from suffering and poverty.

Peter Obi noted that if the party wins the governorship election on Saturday, their children will have jobs and also prompt payment of workers’ pensions and salaries.

“Vote for the Labour party so that your children can have jobs. Vote for people that will work for you.

“Vote for Labour party, vote for the future of your children. Vote for the candidate that will be committed to a better Osun state,” he said.

Earlier, Obi had replied to the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, over his statement regarding LP.

Tinubu at the APC governorship rally in Osun on Tuesday described the LP as a mushroom party, adding that it will labour to death.

Speaking on Wednesday at the LP rally in Osogbo, Obi told party supporters that such a comment came from a place of hatred and should be responded to with love.
