Oshoala Wins CAF Women Award For Record 5th Time (Full List)
Super Falcon and Barcelona striker, Asisat Oshoala on Thursday was declared as the 2022 CAF Women’s ‘Player of the Year.’
Oshoala was crowned the winner of the women’s award in the gala held in Rabat, Morrocco.
The award makes it the fifth time the 27-year-old would win the award surpassing former Falcons striker, Perpetua Nkwocha.
Oshoala had won the award previously in 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2019.
In the men’s category, Senegal forward and former liverpool player, Sadio Mane defeated, Mohamed Salah and Eduard Mendy to win the 2022 CAF ‘Player of the Year’.
Senegal player, Pape Matar Sarr won the men’s ‘Young Player of the Year’, while Ghana’s Evelyn Badu won the women’s category.
