Peter Obi Speaks On Osinbajo’s Choice Of Using Nigerian Hospital For Surgery

The Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has reacted to the discharge of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo from the Duchess International Hospital, Ikeja, Lagos, after undergoing a successful surgical operation and rehabilitation.

Naija News recall that Osinbajo underwent surgery at the hospital on the 16th of July, 2022.

In a post shared on Twitter, Peter Obi commended the vice president’s choice of using the medical rehabilitation process in Nigeria.

According to the former Anambra State Governor, Nigerian leaders must restore confidence in the country’s healthcare institutions by using and investing in them.

He also wished Osinbajo a quick and full recovery.

He said: “His choice of following through with the medical rehabilitation process in Nigeria is commendable. As Nigerian leaders, we must restore confidence in our healthcare delivery institutions by patronising and investing robustly in them.

“My prayers & thoughts are with my dear elder brother, @ProfOsinbajo, as he is discharged from the hospital after his successful surgical operation. I sincerely wish him a quick and full recovery.”

This was made known by his spokesman, Laolu Akande, in a statement on his verified Twitter handle.

Akande explained the surgery became necessary because of recurrent pain in the leg from an injury possibly while playing squash.
