Iseyin: Obasanjo Attempted To Ridicule Those In The Rank Of Gods - Afenifere Demands Public Apology

Former president of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo has disclosed that the southern region should normally produce the next president of Nigeria in 2023.

The former president reportedly said this at his Hilltop Home in Abeokuta on Wednesday while meeting with the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.

According to PM News, Obasanjo insisted that it should be the turn of the south to produce Nigeria’s next president.

The platform however didn’t name its source which it claimed was privy to the meeting between Obasanjo and Tinubu.

Obasanjo was quoted to have said: “I am very much aware that it’s the turn of the South to produce the next President of Nigeria. I was part of the meeting when the agreement was made between Northern and Southern leaders.

He added that it would be an injustice for the north to retain power after eight years of President Muhammadu Buhari.

“It will be an injustice to the South if the North retains power after eight years of rule. We will do the right thing when the time comes.”

You Will Be President Of Nigeria One Day – Jerry Gana Tells Wike

Former Minister and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Professor Jerry Gana has praised the leadership credentials of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, saying the Governor will become President of Nigeria one day.

Naija News reports Prof. Gana stated this on Friday while speaking during the commissioning of a flyover built by the Wike administration in the Obio-Akpor area of Rivers state.

The former Minister and elder statesman said the developmental projects embarked upon by the Wike government is a testimony of what can be done through good governance and proper management of resources by a true leader.

In what is an open reference to the loss of Governor Wike at the PDP presidential primary in Abuja for the 2023 polls, Gana urged the Rivers Governor not to be discouraged as age is still on his side and he would become the President of Nigeria in the nearest future.
