Leicester Boss Says Nigerian Player Will Be “Out For A Few Weeks”
Wilfred Ndidi will be out for a while, according to Leicester City Manager, Brendan Rogers, who informed the reporters during a pre-game conference ahead of their game against AFC Bournemouth.
Naija News earlier reported that the Nigerian Midfielder was key in Leicester’s first victory for the Irish manager. The Midfielder shined in the few minutes he played and was rated high per the club’s media outfit.
However, Naija News recalls that the 25-year-old developed a problem while representing Nigeria at the international level.
As the World Cup draws closer, the Leicester Boss hopes to pick up more points in the domestic league, as well as to secure his Job.
Ndidi was forced to leave the game at halftime after aggravating the injury, and Nampalys Mendy is also expected to miss the match against Bournemouth on Saturday as a result.
What Did Brendan Rogers Say About Ndidi’s Injury?
While speaking to the Journalists, Brendan said, “Wilf Ndidi will probably be out for a little bit. He came back from international duty with a minor hamstring strain.”
He added that the Nigerian superstar will be out for a few weeks. Although, he could not pin the exact date for the reporters.
“He recovered well, but he felt at half-time on Monday it was sore again. He will miss a few weeks,“ he said.
