Transfer: Chelsea To Extend Lukaku Loan Spell At Inter Milan
Romelu Lukaku’s loan at Inter Milan can be extended at Chelsea’s request before they decide to sell him for the full price.
According to reports in Italy, Lukaku is no longer needed by Chelsea due to his performance after moving to Stamford Bridge for £97 million last season.
Naija News recalls that the Belgian forward, who had a difficult time adjusting to life back in England, disclosed in an explosive interview that he planned to move back to Inter Milan last December.
The Blues ultimately decided to loan him back to Inter, with the Serie A team covering his wages, a €8 million loan fee, and an additional potential €3 million in bonuses.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the blues are willing to extend the loan spell of the Belgian striker by an additional 12 months.
The London club, according to FootballJOE, have also decided to take a significant loss in his transfer deal by selling him to the Inter after his 12 months loan spell in the Italian club.
The 29-year-old has made three appearances for the team, scoring a goal and contributing one assist.
