Peter Obi, Baba-Ahmed Visit Powerful Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi (Photo)

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi has visited a renowned Islamic cleric, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.

Obi visited the cleric in the company of his running mate, Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed in what is believed to be part of their consultations for the 2023 presidential election.

Naija News reports Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi is the supreme leader of the Islamic Sufi group known as the Tijaniyyah in Nigeria.

Taking to his Twitter account on Friday, the LP candidate said they visited the cleric at his residence in Bauchi State.

He wrote: “While in Bauchi, Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed and I called on Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi. -PO”

Obi Will Win 2023 Presidency

Nollywood actor turned politician, Kenneth Okonkwo has declared that the Labour Party (LP) candidate, Peter Obi is the candidate to beat in the 2023 presidential election.

Speaking on Channels TV Politics Today on Thursday, Okonkwo said it is obvious Obi is the candidate Nigerians want and others are just in the race to add to the numbers.

Asked by the anchor about the possibility of the Labour Party candidate losing the 2023 presidential election, Okonkwo said that can only happen if Nigerians allow thieves to steal their votes at the polls.
