Buhari Returns To Abuja From London After Medical Check-up

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Sunday, returned to Abuja from London in the United Kingdom after embarking on a two-week medical check-up.

Naija News reports the Presidential jet which conveyed Buhari, landed at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, around 8:30 pm.

In a tweet via his Twitter handle on Sunday, the Special Assistant to the President on Digital Media, Bashir Ahmad, announced Buhari’s return to the country.

Welcome back, Baba!” Ahmad tweeted, along with pictures of Buhari alighting from an aircraft.

Recall that Presidential media aide, Femi Adesina had on Monday announced the planned medical trip in a statement made available to newsmen.

Adesina said the medical trip is a routine one and Buhari, who left for London on October 31, 2022, is expected back in Nigeria in the second week of November.

He had written: “President Muhammadu Buhari leaves for London, United Kingdom, October 31, 2022, for routine medical check-up.

“He returns to the country in the second week of November 2022.”

Buhari left for London after attending a security council meeting and a Conference and Retreat for Senior Police Officers in Owerri, Imo State.

The trip was one of the several medical trips the President had embarked on since assuming office in 2015.
