‘Ile-Ife Men Are Different Breed But I May Accept Ooni’s Marriage Proposal’ – Actress Peju Johnson

Nollywood actress, Peju Johnson, has expressed interest in joining the league of women hoping to become one of Ooni’s queens.

Naija News recalls that the Ooni of Ife within a space of two months married six wives and it sparked an uproar online.

Speaking on his choice of men, Peju, in an interview with PUNCH said she is from a royal family but she is not a fan of royal marriage as she prefers regular people.

According to the actress, men from Ile-Ife are a different breed, notwithstanding, she might consider the Ooni if he proposes marriage.

She said:  “I may accept. But, it’s a ‘may be’. I am actually from a royal family in Ile Ife too. But, I am not a fan of going (marrying) into a royal family. I prefer regular people. Also, I have always said that I don’t want to marry from my town. Men from Ile Ife are a different breed.”

Peju Johnson also spoke about the trend of plastic surgery happening among female stars, stating that there is nothing wrong with fixing one’s body.

In her words: “There is nothing wrong with fixing what one does not like about one’s body if one can afford it. That doesn’t mean one is insecure or one has low self-esteem and zero self-love.”
