An audio conversation reportedly between the spokesperson for the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP), Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere and the Special Adviser on Special Duties to the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, Chinasa Nwaneri has been released by Sahara Reporters.

In the audio shared by SaharaReporters on its Twitter account on Friday, Chinasa allegedly threatened to imprison Ugochinyere.

The Adviser to the Imo State Governor had allegedly said, “Ugochinyere, I will imprison you. What I want to achieve is just to imprison you. That is what I want to achieve. You are lucky that you did not go to Owerri that day. I will imprison you and you will see it.”

When the spokesman of CUPP asked Chinasa if he was acting on the order of his principal, he said, “Ugochinyere, I want to achieve it. I want to imprison you. I have never mentioned your name in a bad corner but you decided to go and call me a criminal. If I did not imprison you, I will harm myself.”

Ugochinyere in response to Chinasa’s statement, said, “Chinasa, you and Hope Uzodinma are not God, so don’t even bother boasting about what you can do and not.”

Chinasa interrupted, saying, “Ugochinyere, if I do not imprison you, I will harm myself. If you are coming to Owerri tomorrow, I’m waiting for you. I have an expecting charge here with you.

“If I don’t imprison you, I will not be free. You Ugochinyere; I’m waiting for you. It has started. You don’t need a visa to come to Owerri but when you come there, I will imprison you.”

Ugochinyere warned the Special Adviser to the Imo State Governor to stop threatening him on the phone, Chinasa replied, “Nigerians are used to this your empty vessel attack. You look too small for me to threaten. Why do you say that I am threatening you? As what? Do I want to go and occupy your position?

“You are just a little rat. Look at a monkey that I’m threatening. Monkey.”

The spokesman of the CUPP had raised the alarm over an alleged move by some politicians to frame him for murder, rape and terrorism.

He said the plan to abduct and frame him was being made to silence him from pushing the case of the Omuma, Imo State, the ward of Governor Uzodinma, where there has allegedly been voter registration fraud.

The High Court sitting in Abuja had issued a restraining order and stay of the proceedings of the magistrate court proceedings in a criminal summons filed against Ugochinyere by Chinasa.

Chinasa had initiated criminal summons bordering on the revelation of alleged fraud by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the voter register in 18 states, including Imo by Ugochinyere.

Justice Hassan M. A. Hassan suspended further proceedings on the matter pending the hearing of the application for judicial review filed by Ugochinyere.
