Christmas Holiday Guest Electrocuted At Wonderland

Meanwhile, a case of electrocution was reported on Monday at the Kiddies section of Wonderland at Energy City, Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Reports obtained by Naija News revealed that a Christmas holiday guest that had visited the event centre for holiday fun and experience got electrocuted.

The Lagos State Government was informed of the incident which happened on Monday, December 26, 2022, and immediately ordered the closure and suspension of activities at the event venue.

The Director General of the Lagos State Safety Commission, Lanre Mojola in a joint inspection with the Lagos State Task Force team stated that the action became necessary to prevent further exposure of attendees, particularly kids.

It expressed worries that letting the event centre open without dealing with the issue may lead to further injuries and fatalities.

According to Mojola, the event venue owner, Ezekiel Adamu had refused to implement safety measures prescribed by the Commission despite several meetings at the onset of the project following an initial safety inspection exercise carried out on the venue to deliberate on safety infractions observed within the facility.
