‘He Is Not Fighting For South’ – Reno Omokri Reveals Why Wike Is ‘Attacking’ Atiku
Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has opined that Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, is not fighting the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on the ground of 2023 presidential zoning.
Naija News reports that Reno made the revelation on Monday night, in a post shared on Twitter, stating that Wike lobbied to become Atiku’s running mate but the former vice president refused.
According to Reno Omokri, Wike started attacking Atiku on June 18, 2022, after the Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, was announced as the vice presidential candidate.
He further described the Rivers State Governor as a ‘scorned woman’ stressing he would have been quiet if Atiku had picked him as his running mate.
Reno said Wike is not fighting for the South but fighting for his own bruised ego and further questioned who the governor has ever been loyal to.
He wrote: “Governor Wike says Atiku lobbied Obasanjo for an endorsement. Look, Wike, himself lobbied Waziri Atiku to be made his running mate. That is why he kept quiet, and only began his tantrums on June 18, 2022, two days after Governor Okowa was chosen.
“Wike is a scorned woman! All these outbursts are the result of sour grapes. If Waziri Atiku had made the mistake of picking Wike as his running mate, Wike would be quieter today. He is not fighting for the South.
“He is fighting for his bruised ego! Who has Wike ever been loyal to? Write a list of all his political benefactors and find out if he is on good terms with any of them. He is a victim of his outsized ego! E day pain am, he say na us e dey pain!
Meanwhile, Reno’s statement contradicts Wike’s words in the wake of the PDP presidential primary outcome when he said he cannot be a second-class citizen.
