Former Governor of Cross River State, Liyel Imoke has declared that all hope is not lost in the bid to reconcile the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and the aggrieved G5 Governors.
This is as he stated that Atiku and his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa remain the most capable hands to salvage Nigeria.
Imoke, who is the Deputy Director General, Operations of the Atiku Abubakar/Ifeanyi Okowa Presidential Campaign Council made the submission over the weekend during a town hall meeting in Cross River State.
Describing the Labour Party (LP) of Peter Obi as a mushroom party, he urged the electorate not to waste their votes on such parties.
According to him, “Votes wasted on Labour Party (LP) and other mushroom parties would amount to conferring advantage on the rudderless APC and reinforcing failure.”
Don’t Give Power To APC
Not done, the PDP stalwart also criticized the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) accusing the party of failing Nigerians.
He said it would be disastrous to allow the APC to remain in power beyond 2023.
In his words, “The eight disastrous years of APC that has left the citizenry impoverished and despondent” adding that “It will be dangerous and disastrous to entrust APC with power again at the federal and state levels because they have failed woefully.”
