Nollywood Actress In Deep Sorrow After Losing Mother

Fast-rising Nollywood actress, Chantel Igwe has announced the death of her mother.

Naija News reports that Igwe announced the sad news of her mother’s passing away on Wednesday via her Instagram account.

She shared a dark background candlelight photo with the caption, “Black Wednesday. God why !!!Mum you left so soon. My heart is so heavy…”

Following the sad news, colleagues of the actress have stormed the comment section to sympathize with her.

The actress lost her mother days after her senior colleague, Funke Akindele mourned the death of her own mother.

It was earlier reported that the news of Mrs Adebanjo-Akindele’s death was made known by Funke’s elder sister, Olubunmi Akindele in a statement via Instagram on Tuesday evening.

According to the statement released on behalf of the family, their mother died on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.

Meanwhile, Ronke Oshodi-Oke said she was opportuned to meet Funke’s mother once.

According to her, the deceased prayed for her like her own child and she was surprised by the sad news of her death.

She further condoled with Funke Akindele adding that God knows the best.

She said: “I met you just once, and you prayed for me like your own child. To my suprise I heard this sad news today, continue to rest in peace ma. @funkejenifaakindele sorry for your loss, God knows the best”
