MC Oluomo: Rhodes-Vivour Hails Ruling On Election Materials Distribution
The Lagos State governorship candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour has hailed the court ruling that barred the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from engaging the services of the Chairman of the Lagos Parks and Garages, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, for the distribution of election materials in the state.
Naija News earlier reported that the Federal High Court in Lagos had barred INEC from engaging the services of MC Oluomo for the distribution of election materials and ad-hoc staff in the state.
The presiding judge, Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke, gave the order on Monday, in a suit filed by the LP and five others.
In the ruling, the judge restrained INEC from taking any steps or further steps whatsoever in furtherance of the engagement of the committee led by MC Oluomo pending the hearing and determination of the substantive suit.
Reacting to the development in a Twitter post on Monday, Rhodes-Vivour expressed his happiness about the court ruling which stopped INEC from dealing with MC Oluomo.
The Lagos LP governorship aspirant also thanked God, his legal team, and the people of Lagos for the court judgement.
He wrote: “I am happy to announce that this morning, We successfully acquired an injunction barring INEC LAGOS STATE from dealing in anyway shape or form with MC Oluomo or any of his associated agencies.
“I am grateful to GOD almighty and my legal team, and to the people of Lagos. #obedients”
