The National Deputy Campaign Manager, Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council, David Isaac Balami, has been involved in a ghastly accident.

This publication learnt that Balami confirmed the tragic incident to the DAILY POST on Saturday evening stating that no life was lost.

Balami and other Labour Party supporters as well as volunteers were involved in the car crash while on their way from Biu in Borno South.

The accident which occurred between Gombe and Biu had Balami’s SUV Prado Jeep damaged as the vehicle ran into the bush.

According to him, they had no choice but to abandon the vehicle at the accident scene due to the porous nature of the area.

He noted that the area is notorious for Boko Haram activities, hence they were advised to leave there immediately, adding the car was a sacrifice for Peter Obi‘s victory.

He said :“Despite the situation, we are not going to retreat in our effort to deliver Borno South for the Labour Party. We are moving forward.

“As for the SUV, it’s a sacrifice for Obi’s victory”

Voters Scamper For Safety As Gunmen Shoot Sporadically

Meanwhile, some gunmen suspected to be political thugs on Saturday invaded a polling unit in the Green House, University of Nigeria, Nsukka in Enugu State shooting sporadically to chase away voters during the presidential and National Assembly elections.

Naija News gathered that the gunmen invaded the university community as the voting was about to commerce.

According to eyewitnesses, they started shooting sporadically, chasing voters who scampered for safety as they flee from the polling unit.
