#NigeriaDecides: Tinubu Wins First LGA In Bayelsa

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has won in the Nembe Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

Tinubu polled a total of 3,053 votes to defeat the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, who scored 2340 votes.

While Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) scored 1969 votes, and the candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, scored 15 votes.

INEC Cancels Election In 141 Polling Units In Bayelsa

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has suspended elections in 141 polling units of Bayelsa state over the account of violence.

According to the INEC chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, the exercise was postponed in the affected polling units because the voting process was disrupted.

The INEC chairman spoke on Saturday while briefing journalists at the collation center, Abuja, on the ongoing general election.
