Peter Obi Wins 12 LGs In Edo State, As Tinubu Wins Six [See Breakdown]
The candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has been declared the winner of the February 25, presidential election in Edo state.
The Labour Party won in 12 local governments to emerge the winner in the state while the All Progressives Congress (APC), won the remaining six local governments leaving the Peoples Democratic Party with no local government.
Announcing the results, the Edo State Collation Officer, Vice Chancellor, University of Uyo, Prof.Professor Nyaudoh Ndaeyo, said the Labour Party candidate Peter Obi scored a total of 331,163 votes to win the presidential election in the state
LP polled 331,163 votes, APC has 144,471 votes while PDP got 89,585 votes with the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) recording 2,743 votes.
LP won the presidential election in 12 LGAs of Igueben, Esan Central, Esan North-East, Egor, Esan South-East, Esan West, Uhunmwonde, Orhionmwon, Ovia South-West, Oredo, Ikpoba-Okha and Ovia North-East, in Edo South and Edo Central
APC won in six LGAs of Owan West, Owan East, Akoko-Edo, Etsako Central, Etsako West and Etsako East, all in Edo North Senatorial District, where a former National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, hails from.
