2023: Mercy Johnson Reveals Her Preferred Candidate For Lagos Governorship Election

Popular Nigerian actress, Mercy Johnson Okojie has revealed her preferred candidate for the March 18 governorship election in Lagos State.

Naija News reports the Nollywood star pitched her tent with the incumbent Governor who is also the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Taking to her Instagram account, the thespian shared a scorecard of Sanwo-Olu’s administration and rated him high in performance. She stated that the good performance is her reason for endorsing him for a second term in office.

According to her, Sanwo-Olu has performed well in areas such as healthcare, women’s development, transportation, entrepreneurship, education, and infrastructure.

Though she pointed out that there’s still a lot to be done, she believes the APC candidate has done enough to earn a second term and called on Lagosians to vote for him.

She wrote: “This is why my choice is Governor Babajide Sanwoolu; His efforts that have improved healthcare, women’s development, transportation, entrepreneurship, education, and infrastructure in Lagos State.

“Key points for me include the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic, entrepreneurship support, and all the work behind the scenes helping women who have been victims of domestic violence to support their entrepreneurship.

“His results can be seen and measured. Yes, there is still a lot of work left to do, I believe in my heart that he can and will do as he says. #SanwoAgain #VoteSanwoolu @jidesanwoolu.”
