Rhodes-Vivour: Five Popular Nigerian Celebrities With Inter-Tribal Marriages
Ahead of the gubernatorial and House of Assembly Election in Lagos State, the Labour Party (LP) candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has remained a topic of discussion over what many termed as controversy regarding his tribe.
Despite being a Lagosian, his marriage to an Igbo woman like his father has raised a sort of issue in the state and political space.
The aim of inter-tribal marriage is to uphold national unity, hence, the LP governorship candidate has done no wrong.

1. Banky W and Adesuwa Etomi: Olubankole Wellington popularly known as Banky W and his wife got married in 2021. Banky W hails from Badagry in Lagos, Southwest Nigeria while Adesua is from Esan in Edo State.
2. Mercy Johnson and Prince Odi Okojie: The talented Nollywood actress and her husband have been married for over a decade. Mercy hails from Okene in Kogi State, while her husband is from Uromi, in Edo State, the south-south region of Nigeria.
3. 2face and Annie Idibia: The couple has also been married for over a decade, amidst the controversy and infidelity saga that has marred their marriage. Pretty Annie is from Akwa Ibom and her husband is from Idoma tribe in the Southern part of Benue State, Nigeria.
4. Toyin Abraham and Kolawole Ajeyemi: Some people have often thought that Toyin is from Yoruba, surprisingly the actress hails from Auchi, Edo State and she is married to her colleague, Kolawale Ajeyemi, from Oyo state.
5. Dakore Egbuson and Olumide Akande: Pretty Nollywood actress, Dakore Egbuson, is from Ijaw, in Bayelsa state. She married a Yoruba man, from a notable Akande family.
