NEF Speaks On Enormous Task Ahead Of Tinubu
The Northern Elders Forum (NEF) has come out to speak about the enormous task before the President-elect, Bola Tinubu.
According to the NEF spokesperson Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, Tinubu would have the most difficult job in the world to handle because he would have to start building trust from Nigerians again.
Naija News reports that Baba-Ahmed in his weekly column explained that Tinubu would have to work hard to earn the trust of aggrieved Nigerians.
He pointed out that the task is big because “no leader anywhere can achieve anything of value unless he can get enough citizens to believe that he means well, and he respects them.”
The NEF scribe also said, in addition, he would have to start from scratch to build his own foundations of good and accountability because the incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari would not leave any such record behind.
Baba-Ahmed said “The President to be sworn in on May 29 will have the most difficult job to handle in the world.
“His biggest challenge will be to win some trust. No leader anywhere can achieve anything of value unless he can get enough citizens to believe that he means well, and respects them.
“The next president will have to build his own foundations of good and accountable government because Buhari will leave none behind.”
Recall that Tinubu was declared the winner of the just concluded presidential and national assembly election, and he would be sworn in as President on May 29.
