2023 Election
Declared, Inconclusive, Not Declared – See The Status Of Each State From The 2023 Governorship Election

Governorship elections were held in 28 states of the federation on Saturday, March 18 during the 2023 general election in Nigeria.
However, the declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) shows that while the final results of 24 states have been declared, two states are yet to be declared as the result announcement is suspended while the outcome from two other states have been declared inconclusive.
Naija News reports results from two states, Adamawa and Kebbi have been declared inconclusive, while INEC has also suspended the collation of results in two states Abia and Enugu.
For the Adamawa governorship election, the State Collation Officer, Profesor Muhammed Mele, said the election was inconclusive because the margin of win between the leading two parties was lower than the number of collected PVCs in places where the election did not hold.
Mele said elections would be conducted in the affected areas of the state.
Similarly, the Collation and Returning Officer, for Kebbi State, Prof. Yusuf Sa’idu said there were cancellations in 20 of the 21 Local Government Areas.
He said INEC had no option but to refer to the Electoral Act 2022, Section 51, Sub-sections two and three for guidance.
For Abia and Enugu states, INEC spokesperson, Festus Okoye, disclosed on Monday that the commission after a meeting decided to review results in some parts of both states due to reported irregularities thereby suspending the collation of results in those states.
