Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala has opened up about how her shirtless celebration, following her brilliant goal against Australia at the Lang Park Stadium, yesterday, 27th July made her father unhappy.

Naija News reports had Asisat became the first African player to score at three editions of the FIFA Women’s World Cup after defeating Australia by 3 goals to 2 in the ongoing competition.

Oshoala, who started the game on the bench but was introduced in the second half at 1-1, changed the direction of the game after scoring a spectacular goal in the 72nd minute, making her yank off her jersey to celebrate the feat.

Speaking about the singular act, Oshoala noted that her father was unhappy with her choice of celebration, but added that life was a collection of unpredictable moments.

Sharing photos from the match, Oshoala via her Instagram page wrote: “My dad is definitely not happy with my choice of celebration but then again, Life is a collection of moments. #Alhamdulilah #Grateful #Moment.”
