President Tinubu Meets Enugu Gov, Peter Mbah
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday met with the Enugu State governor, Peter Mbah, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Naija News reports that while there is no official reason for the meeting, it was gathered that the two leaders would be discussing issues concerning Enugu State.
Governor Mbah was part of the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting, which was presided over by Vice President Kashim Shettima on Thursday.
Recall that Governor Mbah had expressed his vision to transform Enugu from a public sector to a private sector-driven economy and to also raise the state’s GDP from the present $4.4 to $30 billion through private sector investment.
He had equally expressed the eagerness of his administration to collaborate and partner with the federal government and international agencies in regard.
Governor Mbah recently met with Shubham Chaudhuri, the World Bank Country Director for Nigeria, and participated in the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting presided over by Vice President Senator Kassim Shettima.
The Enugu state governor had previously visited the President to discuss Enugu’s economy, security, and the issue of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu and his release from detention.
