The reigning Premier League champions, Manchester City, have completed the signing of Belgian winger Jeremy Doku.

Manchester City paid French Ligue 1 side Rennes the sum of £55.4 million to complete the deal.

The 21-year-old Belgian winger joined the reigning UEFA Champions League winners after signing a five-year deal with them. He will wear shirt number 11 at the club.

While in France, Jeremy Doku scored 10 goals in 75 Ligue 1 games throughout three seasons. He scored seven goals in 35 games last season. He has made 16 appearances for Belgium.

The Belgian youngster is Pep Guardiola’s third summer signing after midfielder Mateo Kovacic ($25 million) and defender Josko Gvardiol ($77 million).

After completing his move to Manchester City earlier today, August 24, Jeremy Doku said, “This is a great day for me, both personally and professionally. City are the best team in world football, so joining them is special.”

He added, “I am a young player with so much learning and improving to do.

“Working with Pep and his staff, and playing alongside these world-class players, will make me a much better player. I feel sure of that.

“Watching City last season was amazing. To win the Treble is the hardest thing in football and they did it. You cannot imagine how exciting it is to be joining this team. I cannot wait to get started. Hopefully, I can make the fans happy.”
