The second round of the EFL Cup which is also known as the Carabao Cup is officially over and the draw for the third round has been announced.

In the second round, eight of the big clubs in the Premier League were not included due to their high ranking on the Premier League table last season.

However, they are back for the third round including the reigning Carabao Cup winners Manchester United, and treble winners Manchester City.

All the Carabao Cup third-round games have been scheduled to take place on September 26 but no kick-off time has been decided for the fixtures yet. However, the games are expected to be played in the night since they are mid-week fixtures.
