Transfer Deadline: Top Completed Deals On September 1

It was a hot transfer deadline day on September 1, 2023, as football clubs in Europe, especially in the Premier League, made last-minute efforts to bring in new players before the window officially closed.

According to Financial Services Business Group, Deloitte, the Premier League clubs spent a world record £255 million to sign new players on September 1.

This broke the record set last summer in which Premier League clubs spent £120 million on the last day of the transfer window.

The biggest deal that was completed during the 2023 summer transfer window deadline day was Matheus Nunes’ move from Wolves to Manchester City for a transfer fee worth £55 million.

On the same day, Manchester City sold Cole Palmer to Chelsea for a transfer fee worth £40 million.

1. Altay Bayindir from Fenerbahce to Manchester United for £4.5 million.
2. Sofyan Amrabat is on loan from Fiorentina to Manchester United.
3. Sergio Reguilon is on loan from Tottenham Hotspur to Manchester United.
4. Free agent Jonny Evans is on a one-year deal at United.
5. Ibrahim Sangare from PSV to Nottingham Forest.
6. Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea to Nottingham Forest.
7. Nicolas Dominguez from Bologna to Nottingham Forest.
8. Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich to Liverpool for £34.3 million.
9. Ansu Fati from Barcelona to Brighton on loan
10. Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest to Tottenham for £45 million.
