Atiku Speaks On Retiring From Active Politics

A fresh update has emerged on the planned World Press Conference to be hosted by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 election, Atiku Abubakar.

It was earlier reported that the press conference is scheduled to take place today, October 5, 2023, as disclosed by the Director of Strategic Communications of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, Dele Momodu.

Giving an update on the matter on his X handle on Thursday, one of the spokesmen of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, Umar Sani, said the press conference will take place at the Shehu Musa ‘Yar’adua auditorium, Wuse 2 in Abuja at 3 p.m.

Sani said Atiku would share a deposition of a forged Diploma Certificate of the Chicago State University (CSU) submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) by President Bola Tinubu.

The PDP chieftain also stated that the former Vice President would also display a Certified True Copy of the deposition of the CSU Registrar, Caleb Westberg, on Wednesday.

Sani added that the audio of the deposition and the conclusions of the deposition by a United States Federal Judge, Nancy Maldonado, would be displayed.

Naija News reports that Atiku is challenging the declaration of Tinubu as the winner of the February 25 election and the affirmation of Tinubu’s victory by the election petition tribunal on September 6.

The former Vice President continues to allege that Tinubu’s academic records are fraught with discrepancies and forgeries.

His request for the US court for the Northern District of Illinois to compel CSU to release Tinubu’s academic records has since been granted, and the records are now in the public domain.

Atiku had said he would use the academic records unveiled by CSU in his litigation against Tinubu at the Supreme Court.

In one of his applications to the US Court, Atiku disclosed that he intends to submit the evidence to the apex court today.
