Victor Osimhen Quarrels His Coach After Losing Penalty In Napoli's Draw

Arsenal are reportedly planning a swap deal with Napoli to bring Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen to the Premier League.

Napoli are reportedly considering this since Victor Osimhen has reportedly made it difficult for his contract with the club to be extended after a series of negotiations.

Note that Osimhen who joined Napoli from Lille on September 1, 2020, for a transfer fee worth €75 million has until June 30, 2025, before his contract expires.

This means that at the end of this season, the contract of the 24-year-old Nigerian striker will have just a season left which is not a good scenario for the Italian champions in terms of landing a big transfer fee for their talisman.

The fact that Victor Osimhen felt mocked over the two videos the club shared on TikTok when he missed a penalty in September has made his contract extension talks more difficult.

A report by Italian publication, Calciomercato, claimed that Arsenal are ready to trade their talisman Gabriel Jesus for Victor Osimhen this winter or in the coming summer transfer window.

The report claimed that Napoli might not say no to the player-exchange deal to avoid losing Osimhen for free or cheaply.

Arsenal are said to be in desperate need of an elite centre-forward which means that they might be open to losing Gabriel Jesus and some cash for Osimhen.

Other players Napoli is reportedly considering replacing Osimhen with, if he decides to leave the club, are Alvaro Morato and Jonathon David.

The Nigeria international who finished as Serie A top scorer last season has scored 6 goals in 8 Serie A matches so far this season.
