Ekiti Gov, Oyebanji Bags Second Term Endorsement From Predecessors, After One Year In Office
The Ekiti State Governor, Abiodun Oyebanji, has bagged a second term endorsement from his predecessors in the state.
Naija News reports that the governor who just marked his administration’s one-year anniversary got the endorsement of the former governors of the state for a second term in 2026.
It was gathered that the former governors who endorsed Oyebanji are Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo, Chief Ayodele Fayose and Dr Kayode Fayemi, and they are all from different political parties.
The former Ekiti State governors, who spoke through Fayose, said Oyebanji deserves a second term in office because his performance in office for his first year is impressive and evident.
According to the three former governors, their conclusion was derived from Oyenbanji’s unique leadership and development styles.
At a special thanksgiving service organised to mark the first anniversary of Oyebanji’s administration at the Cathedral Church of Emmanuel, Okesa, Ado-Ekiti, the trio said in this short time, he had united every political and religious tendency and mobilised the people for massive development in the state.
Also, at the event, the Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele, who stood in for the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, said when the time comes he would be glad to be the chairman of Oyebanji’s second term re-election campaign council.
Bamidele said the endorsement was a well-deserved one because the governor has earned the confidence and trust of the people for a second term.
