Victor Osimhen Makes 2023 Ballon d’Or Top Ten, See 30-Man Official Ranking
Nigerian and Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen has made it to the 2023 Ballon d’Or top ten out of the 30 players nominated for this year’s edition of the award.
Recall that in the season under review, the 2022-2023 season, Victor Osimhen helped Napoli to win the Italian Serie A title for the first time in 33 years and also helped them to reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League for the first time in the club’s history.
The 24-year-old Osimhen scored a whopping 26 goals to finish as the Serie A top scorer and also won the best striker of the season award in the league.
Due to his outstanding performance, the Nigerian international who is one of the most sought after strikers in the world, was ranked above legendary names like Mohamed Salah (11), Harry Kane (19), Karim Benzema (16), and Robert Lewandowski (12).
Victor Osimhen was ranked 8th in the 2023 Ballon d’Or official ranking which means he is the 8th best player in the world behind potential eight-time winner of the award, Lionel Messi, and potential runner-up Haaland.
