List Of PDP Chieftains At Bayelsa Collation Centre

Some chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stormed the Bayelsa governorship election collation centre in Yenagoa, the state capital.

Naija News reports that the PDP bigwigs were at the collation centre on Monday to witness the collation of results in the governorship election by the State Collation Centre, Professor Kuta Farouk.

The PDP stalwarts were also at the centre to witness the declaration of the party’s candidate and Governor of the state, Douye Diri, as the winner of the governorship election.

Some of the PDP chieftains include Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State, former National Chairman of the PDP, Uche Secondus, and former Bayelsa East Senator, Ben Murray-Bruce, among others.

Meanwhile, Governor Diri has Diri won his re-election after the result of the last local government, Southern Ijaw was announced.

Diri won six local government areas to win re-election while his closest rival, Timipre Sylva of the All Progressives Congress (APC) won two local government areas.

After the result of Southern Ijaw was declared, the margin between Diri and his closest challenger, Timipre Sylva, climbed to 65,088.

Diri polled a total of 175,196 votes while Sylva trailed with 110,108 votes.
