A dramatic scene took place at Lagos Airport on Saturday when a Nigerian woman ripped her husband’s international passport shortly after they arrived from abroad.

The incident, considered by many as vandalism of government property, has sparked public outrage and demands for legal consequences.

In a video that captured the moment, the woman, visibly upset, responded angrily when questioned about her actions, saying, “Is it your passport?”

She then chastised her stunned husband, holding their children by the hand as she walked away, saying, “If you want to sleep there, sleep there. This is Nigeria, this is where you will be.

Airport officials were seen attempting to console the husband, advising him to remain calm and not respond to his wife’s outburst.

The woman’s actions have been widely criticized as both an expression of emotional turmoil and a serious offense, as passports are considered government property in Nigeria.
