Winner of the Big Brother Naija Season 9 ‘No Loose Guard’ edition, Sule Kingsley, popularly known as Kellyrae, has disclosed that he had never thought he would win the reality TV show.

Naija News reports that Kellyrae made this statement to newsmen while receiving his cash prize of N6 million and a brand new customized Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing car worth N40 million.

Kellyrea said that considering his experience with the past editions of the reality TV show, he assumed that most of the viewers liked his colleagues, Wanni, Handi, and Onyeka,

He stated, “I won’t lie to you. I have made millions, but I’ve never had one million like this in my account at once. But if I have to calculate how much I have spent, I would say I have spent up to a million. Never, it has happened. I won’t lie to you.

“At no point did I feel I was going to win. You know, I was just praying in my head, ‘God, please keep us here for the first and second week at least,’ because if we had left in the first week, I kept thinking, what are we leaving behind? What are we leaving with? Those are the two things I had in my head: we have to leave with something, and we have to leave something behind. Even if we leave with all the money, it is what we leave behind that people will talk about, and those are the things that open more doors for us. So in my head, I was just praying for the first, or second week at least. We were here for the first week, second week, third week, fourth week, and after that, anything that happens, God takes all the glory.

“Also, because of what I’ve heard about Big Brother Naija, the kind of content that people love, I thought people liked Wanni, Handi, and Onyeka.”

Speaking on his strategy in the house, he added, “A strategy for me and my wife was to connect with people. You saw there were times when Onyeka and I danced, Handy and I danced during the parties, along with some other girls. If I had come in as a married man, you saw how the girls were giving Dr. TJ space; they were not dancing with him. The guys wouldn’t have danced with my wife; they wouldn’t have been free if they had known she was married. I didn’t want that; I wanted to connect; I wanted friends in the house.”
