Nigerian goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie is overflowing with joy and gratitude after being honoured as the best goalkeeper in Africa at the highly anticipated CAF Awards 2024.

This remarkable recognition marks a significant milestone in Chiamaka Nnadozie’s career, as she successfully retained the title she first won in 2023, showcasing her consistent growth in the sport.

At just 24 years old, Nnadozie has established herself as a formidable force between the posts. Her performances this past year have been instrumental for both her club, Paris FC, and the Nigerian national team. Nnadozie played a pivotal role in leading Paris FC to qualify for the prestigious UEFA Women’s Champions League, a testament to her skill and determination.

In addition to her club successes, Nnadozie was a key player for the Super Falcons during the 2024 Olympic Games held in Paris, where she further demonstrated her abilities on an international stage.

Expressing her gratitude, Nnadozie reflected on her journey during the award ceremony, stating, “Last year I was here, and I am here again today, feeling incredibly grateful to God for this opportunity.”

She extended her heartfelt thanks to the President of CAF, as well as the President of the Nigerian Football Federation, acknowledging their significant efforts in promoting and supporting women’s football.

Nnadozie also expressed deep appreciation for her club, Paris FC, recognizing the substantial investment they have made in her development as a player. “I want to say a big thank you to my club, Paris FC, who have invested a lot in me,” she stated as quoted by CAFOnline
