Christmas: Spread Love, Unity – Gov Kefas, Obaseki Tell Nigerians
The Governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas and Former Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, have enjoined to spread love and unity as they mark the Christmas season.
Governor Kefas and Obaseki advised Nigerians to use the period and live out the virtues of Jesus Christ.
In his Christmas message on Wednesday (today), the Taraba State Governor prayed for blessings on the citizens of the country.
“With 2024 approaching its final moment, we express our eternal gratitude to Almighty God for the progress realized thus far.
“Each Christmas serves as a poignant reminder of the profound moral lessons surrounding the birth and life of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. We are commemorating God’s unconditional love for humanity and the invaluable gift of Jesus.
“As we celebrate this special time of year, let us come together in unity – to spread love, kindness, and compassion to those around us.
“This is a time for introspection on the core tenets of our faith. It is also a time to acknowledge and appreciate the love, hope, and joy that Jesus brings.
“As we approach a new year, I pray that we continue to move forward in all spheres of life, be a blessing to others, and to Taraba State. May this Christmas bring you peace and happiness,” Governor Kefas said.
On his part, Obaseki, in his Christmas message, on Tuesday stated, “I heartily felicitate with Christian faithful, as we celebrate Christmas.
“Christmas presents an auspicious opportunity to show love and reflect on the life and teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ, whose birth we are commemorating.
“As we all celebrate, let’s continue to spread the message of unity, love, and peaceful co-existence, as demonstrated by Jesus Christ. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas.”
